SUMMARY:Nutrient Recycling for Regional Sustainability
DESCRIPTION:Mobilizing a Circular Economy:\nNature-Based solutions in coastal zones by\nTransforming beach wrack into a soil amendment and sand dune stabilizer\nJoin us for the final conference of the ECONUT project\, where we present key insights\, results\, and future opportunities for turning beach wrack into a valuable resource. \nAcross Europe\, coastal regions face growing challenges related to beach wrack accumulation. At the same time\, there is an urgent need to transition towards more circular\, resource-efficient systems. ECONUT explores how these challenges can be connected – transforming what is often seen as waste into a resource for nutrient recycling\, soil improvement\, and regional sustainability. \nDuring this conference\, researchers\, practitioners\, policymakers\, and industry representatives will come together to: \n\nShare knowledge on coastal ecosystems and nutrient cycles\nPresent innovative methods for processing and utilizing beach wrack\nExplore nature-based solutions for climate resilience\nDiscuss circular business models and community-based approaches\nHighlight results from pilot cases and practical implementations\n\nThe event will feature keynote speakers\, expert presentations\, and interactive discussions\, offering both scientific insights and real-world applications. \nSEE SPEAKERS AND AGENDA\nWe look forward to welcoming you to a day of knowledge exchange\, collaboration\, and inspiration for advancing circular solutions in coastal regions. \n. \nThe event is free and open for all \nParticipants can join either in person in Gdańsk or online. \nlink to the meeting \nAddress for participating onsite: \nGdansk University of Technology\, Narutowicza 11/12 \nStreet\, 80-233 Gdansk\, Poland \nHydromechanics building\, building no. 11 \nRoom: Conference Room at 1st floor \n. \nREGISTER HERE\nLast day to register: \nfor onsite participation: 12th of June\nfor digital participation: 16th of June \n  \nFor questions please contact Olga.Anne@ku.lt \n.
